Embung Kleco (Kleco Reservoir) is an artificial reservoir located in Ngesong Village, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, and serves as a water resource for the agriculture.
This serene tourist site offers a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere due to the pure fresh air of the highland. Kleco Reservoir features various natural beauties. Visitors can enjoy a vast landscape with trees and hilly areas, perfect for photography and sightseeing. Mount Merapi is also visible from this location, with a clear sky.
To get the best scenery, it’s recommended to visit in the morning or during nice weather before sunset. While Embung Kleco lacks food vendors and facilities on-site, visitors can bring their own food and drinks for a family recreation by the reservoir.
